Audiobook Suzanne Collins mp3

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

It hurt, like any was and like I expected it to. But while I thought it was pulling the hair out, it was just breaking it off.2 days later there was stubble!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect in the second book in this series, Catching Fire, becuase the first, The Hunger Games, could have stoodthe final book in the series was excellent. And the only way to get to the final book, Mockingjay, is to read Catching Fire.Standing alone, I would have given Catching Fire two to three stars, but because the author does a good job of tying in Catching Fire to the finale, the book is well worth reading.

I liked the first book okay. I've read the Twilight books and thought those were okay as well.

This book isn't. It continues the tale of Katniss in a dull, uninspired fashion, and is full of the protagonist's whiny naivete. Maybe this sort of dreck is appealing to tween girls, but anyone else should just skip this and read a synopsis if they found the first book engaging. Summarizing the plot advances will only take a couple of succinct paragraphs.

I sure hope the third book gets better.

Let me briefly start 13, regardless of the fact that the one of the most interesting aspects of the first book is the bits of brutality we get throughout the games, at least for me that was the case.

Also, as far as casting goes, I thought Lyndsy Fonseca would have been the better choice for looks, and Saoirse Ronan because she already played a role like this in Hanna. Moreover, Jennifer Lawrence has yet to impress me (i.e. I hated everything about X-men: First Class and Winters Bone was stupid, why was it up for so many awards?). Honestly the only casting I do like about this is Woody Harrelson as Haymitch. Anyhow this cast feels like it's aimed at a very young adult audience, which I guess makes sense given the simplicity of the book. I was just hoping the were going to head the other direction and step it up to a serious movie that adults could enjoy too.

This was a great book. Sometimes the 2nd book leaves you wanting, not this one!

I couldn't wait to finish and get to the 3rd book. As amatter of fact I didn't
even take the time to write this review until I finished the 3rd book. I just

couldn't wait to see what was going to happen! All of the books are well written

and you feel so close to the characters.

The first book took maybe three days. This book took a little less then 24 hours! I love these books. They are impossible to put down.

Just as its predecessor, Catching Fire did not disappoint in any shape or form.I think I have found a new series to love and drool over.

I loved how this novel kicks off so easily. The story and the characters are just as, if not easier, to get into than in The Hunger Games. You find yourself emersed in this crazy world and, as a reader, you don't want to get out. After each chapter I finish, I just want to keep reading and it's like my brain is nagging at me until I open up and continue to read on.

This book has some serious heart wrenching moments that almost made me cry. There is a little more romance to this story that the last, actually quite a bit more, but it works for the story line so well, that it's not an issue.Suzanne Collins has done an amazing job at writing a series of novels that you just cannot figure out.I've read some other reviews about how the reader thought certain things were going to happen, and those things seemed likely. But alas, those things did not come to pass.I love that about these books. You never know what's going to happen until you read on.

There's just something about this book, about the entire series that keeps you reading.Everyone should read The Hunger Games...and then re-read them.
